Paralles between the worl of the novel and our world?

Out world today and Fahrenheit 451's world are two very different worlds. Many things are pointed out in this novel that show how much more UN-real their world is than ours. In our world Firemen are referred to as rescuers that save people or things in fires, in Fahrenheit 451 firemen burn books over and over again, to stop people from reading them. Which destroys the information that people are provided with in our world today. Clarisse one of the main characters that Montag met in the beginning of the story opened up his world to a bigger picture, making him see bigger and better things beyond what he was told. By being the person Clarisse is she was referred to as sentimental and self righteous, in our world being curious and positive towards life is a very good thing, its an instinct that most people should be proud of having. All of the unhappy things in Fahrenheit 451 include TVs, books, and sterile bedrooms these things were things that were suppose to make them unhappy. Burning these objects was always a demand for the firemen to destroy, without these things in our world people would probably be lost. Unhappy to our world s not having these things, trying to connect our world and the world in the novel is almost impossible. For Montag coming across all the things he has been told was coming from Beatty, that everything was always bad and will harm people in so many ways, he wasn't right and inside Montag knew this. If things like teenagers drinking recklessly while driving is a bad thing, then immediately everything else around them is a threat and it is a bad thing. These are the views that were given from the novel. In our world many things are bad, but much good can come from the bad, like making things better, improving what needs to be fixed. Destroying everything isn't the answer in our world today.
