Is online bloggin safe?

A young girl in chicago was posting on her blog certain critics on gay marriage and blacks, the girl was later defended by "freedom of speech" but then got introuble for posting certain things that may have offended people at her school. This is an example of watching what you are going to post on the internet becuase as we say again anyone is open to reading your blog, anyone can take what you post as an offense. The dangers on this is is someone takes what someone else says personal then the situation can get out of hand, by this i mean the person reading the blog could find out where and who was posting the blog becuase they didn't agree in what that person was posting. Some dangers on blog posting on school would be finding out very easily who is writing the blog, people and students anywhere need to watch certain things that they say in there blog becuae some kids don't realize that as they are writing they may be including some personal information on themselves and not even realizing it. Teachers need to really teach there students how to use blogs the correct way or things could get very dangers if someone does not know how to be mature about posting certain information online. A lot of things are common sense, not to put your phone number or especially post your last name on any blog. Know one wants anyone to get hurt, these blogs are to help students and teacher learn more about themsleves and others.
